SODUS: Roxanne Carol Wemesfelder Datthyn, age 78, of Sodus, NY, passed away on Saturday, February 20 in Erie, PA. She was born in Pultneyville, NY on June 8, 1937, the daughter of the late Carroll and Hazel Wemesfelder. Roxie attended Williamson Central School. She was an avid antique collector and she enjoyed riding around Pultneyville and Sodus Point in her 1955 T-Bird Convertible. She was a gardening enthusiast and enjoyed her flower gardens. She was an adoring grandmother and great grandmother. Roxie enjoyed helping her husband, Ike, and grandsons at the Rochester Public Market and had many friends among their customers. She loved her Church family and helped with their many activities. She is predeceased by her parents, Hazel and Carroll Wemesfelder and by her son, Daniel Dale Datthyn. Roxie is survived by her loving husband of nearly 60 years, Isaac Abe Datthyn, her daughters Kathy Datthyn-Madigan (Brian) and Stephenie Cheeseman (Jim), daughter in law, Paula Datthyn and grandchildren Sean Madigan, Ashley Cheeseman, Courtney Cheeseman, Erin Grosso, Brandon Datthyn, Brittany Dunn, Adam Datthyn and Ryan Datthyn and great grandchildren Morgan Cheeseman, Noah Datthyn, Breeona Dunn, Aiden Cheeseman, Sarah Datthyn, Dominic Grosso and Susanna Datthyn, brother Jim Wemesfelder of Florida and special friend and caregiver, Penny Balch. Friends and relatives are invited to call at Norton Funeral Home, 45 West Main Street, Sodus, NY on Wednesday from 2:00-4:00 and 5:00-7:00 and attend the funeral at the First Reformed Church, 18 Maple Ave., Sodus, NY on Thursday at 11:00.
