Wayne County Sheriff Barry Virts, called what allegedly happened “bizarre behavior”. On Monday (5/2) the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested Louis F. Magrino, age 63, of 22 Phelps Street in the Town of Lyons for Endangering the Welfare of a Disabled Person in the 1st Degree and a willful violation of the Public Health Law.
It is alleged that Magrino displayed inappropriate behavior in the presence of residents of the nursing home, visitors and other staff while he was working.
Police are currently investigating an allegation that Magrino had oral sex with a female visitor in a nursing home resident’s bathroom. Hours later he allegedly sat on the end of a female resident’s bed and masturbated.
The investigation is being handled by the Sheriff’s Office and the New York State Attorney General’s Office.
Magrino had worked at the facility for 9 years. He was arraigned in Lyons Town Court and remanded to jail on $2000 cash/$5000 bond and was bailed out the same day.
More charges may be pending.
