FORT MYERS, FL: Bill passed away May 2, 2017 at the age of 89 after a brief illness. Bill was born in Webster, NY on February 20, 1928, the son of James H. and Clara Netzman. Bill was predeceased by his daughter Jan. He is survived by his wife, Susan (Goodno), daughter, Jill (David) Griffin, Sister, Roberta (Fred) Kalsbeek and family, and many, many friends.
Bill grew up in Webster, NY later moving to Sodus Point where he spent many years before finally moving to Fort Myers, FL. He was best known as the owner and driving force of Netzman’s Appliance on Main Street in Webster, and many other endeavors. Bill was a proud volunteer for the Webster Fire Department who recently recognized him for 70 years of service. He was a long time member of the Webster Kiwanis. Bill loved to travel and to read. In Florida he went to the library every week and was a volunteer for the Friends of the Riverdale Library. Bill was a storyteller who never ran out of stories to share from the “old days.” Those wishing to share stories of Bill may send them to: Memories, c/o Susan Netzman, PO Box 916, Alva, FL. 33920. Keeping with his wishes there will be no calling hours or services. Ashes will be scattered at a later date.
